On Friday, Nov. 2, West Side Montessori Middle School continued its tradition of Immigration Day, when the students assumed the role of immigrants in an early 1900s simulation.

One of the foundations of a Montessori education is the three-year cycle in the same classroom. These mixed-age groups encourage interaction between older and younger children, allowing older children to become role models for younger children.

Upper Elementary has organized a mock presidential election for levels 1-8 to be held on Friday, Nov. 2. The election committee has completed the voter registration process with students and is set to open the polls tomorrow.
