Service Learning Experiences

Service is an important aspect of our Middle School curriculum and students have the opportunity to do service-learning work in the community and on our campus on a weekly basis.

We partner with a variety of agencies in order to let our students experience the joy of giving. Below is a list of some of the organizations we have had the opportunity to work with over the last few years:

  • The University Church Gardens
  • Toledo Metroparks
  • Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality Kitchen
  • Kingston Assisted Living Facility
  • Seagate Food Bank

Through such experiences students are introduced to social issues of the community in which they live.

Middle School students are also given the opportunity to foster relationships with younger students by volunteering in the Little House and Children’s House classrooms. The younger children love to interact with the Middle Schoolers and our students enjoy the nostalgia of spending time with former teachers and interacting with the Montessori materials of their younger days.
