What We’re Looking for
- Strong RN who holds a valid State of Ohio Registered Nurse license
- Health expert with a minimum of one year experience in a public health setting, community, school, or pediatric nursing.
- Life-saving abilities by being current on CPR/AED training
- As our Health Coordinator, you’ll be the advocate for our students’ well-being. Apple OS, iOS, and JAMF enterprise management software
- Screen and evaluate vision, hearing, scoliosis, and other assessments as required by the State of Ohio.
- Identify abnormal health findings, making professional referrals when necessary.
- Maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data of students.
- File reports regarding immunizations and health, keeping our records accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate medical action plans for students with severe medical conditions.
- Educate staff on recognizing and managing severe medical conditions and other essential training including bloodborne pathogens.
- Enforce policies regarding exclusion and re-admission of students with infectious diseases and related communications.
- Administer first aid and notify parents of injuries.
- Maintain supplies for first aid kits
- Proven ability to maintain security and confidentiality
