Staff Spotlight: Carrie Frost

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself—your background, interests, dreams, and hobbies?
My name is Carrie Frost, and I am so lucky to share my life with my best friend and the love of my life, Matt. We have two wonderful children: Oliver (10) and Ruth (8). I grew up in the Dayton area and attended Bowling Green State University. I originally started as a music major, playing the French horn, but later switched to studying Intervention Specialist.
This is my 15th year of teaching, and during that time, I’ve witnessed the importance of helping people foster wellness for themselves and others. Inspired by this, Matt and I created a wellness consulting business, Wakeful Pathways. Through this venture, we combine our passions and expertise to provide actionable steps toward wellness—a dream realized for me.
In addition to teaching, I am a LYT-certified yoga instructor and love helping people feel at home in their bodies. I also enjoy long hikes, eating popcorn, watching funny movies, and spending time in Ann Arbor.

What’s your favorite Montessori quote?

To Educate the Human Potential

What is the most important life lesson you'd like to share with your students? How is this conveyed in your classroom?
“You’ve made this day a special day, by just your being you. There’s no person in the whole world like you, and I like you just the way you are.”
— Fred Rogers
This message is central to how I interact with students. It’s conveyed through intentional moments of connection, ensuring every child feels valued for who they are.

What do you love about Montessori?
