Part-Time Physical Education Teacher (Toledo Campus)
West Side Montessori, Toledo Campus, has an opening for a physical education teacher beginning immediately.
Our school serves children ages 13 months - 8th grade. Located on 37 acres of beautifully wooded property, West Side is approximately five miles from the Michigan border. We have served the Northwest Ohio community since 1975. West Side Montessori educates 400+ children 13 months - 8th grade. We are one of the largest private Montessori schools in the country and are accredited by the American Montessori Society.
In addition to the Montessori teaching philosophy and core curriculum, West Side students are fortunate to experience curriculums from specialized instructors that include:
- Art (grades 1 - 8)
- Music (preschool - 8th grade)
- Technology/STEM (grades 1 - 8)
- Physical Education (kindergarten - 8th grade)
- Outdoor Education (toddler - 8th grade)
- World Language (preschool - 8th grade)
This position is 25-30 hours per week during the school year of August - June. West Side offers a summer camp program where teachers may choose to work (full or part-time) during the summer months for additional pay.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Knowledge of child development and experience working with children of diverse abilities
