Part-Time Human Resource Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at West Side Montessori in Toledo, OH.
The ideal candidate will possess or be willing to gain a strong understanding of HR best practices and regulations, with a focus on compliance, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development. The Human Resources Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions and supporting the overall success of our institution.

  • Update staff handbook to ensure the rules in place are compliant 
  • Talent acquisition/Hiring Process-placing ads, taking applications, screening applicants, background checks, reference checks, initial interviews
  • Onboarding new hires-paperwork, files, benefits, employee handbook
  • Research group health insurance options
  • Track banked and personal days
  • Payroll back-up
  • Unemployment and workers comp
  • Job descriptions
  • Summer camp employee compliance
  • Assist with cultural changes to increase employee engagement
  • Communicate with the investment firms (403b) 
  • Educating staff on job expectations and negotiating when there is unclarity for the employee or peers
  • Exit interviews
