Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher for the 2025 - 2026 School Year
West Side Montessori, Toledo Campus, has an opening for a full-time preschool/kindergarten teacher beginning August 2025.
Our preschool/kindergarten program serves children ages 3 years - kindergarten. Located on 37 acres of beautifully wooded property, West Side is approximately five miles from the Michigan border. We have served the Northwest Ohio community since 1975. West Side Montessori educates 400+ children 13 months - 8th grade. We are one of the largest private Montessori schools in the country and are accredited by the American Montessori Society.
In addition to the Montessori teaching philosophy and core curriculum, West Side students are fortunate to experience curriculums from specialized instructors that include:
Art (grades kindergarten - 8th grade)
Music (kindergarten - 8th grade)
Technology/STEM (grades 1 - 8)
Physical Education (kindergarten - 8th grade)
Outdoor Education (toddler - 8th grade)
World Language (preschool - 8th grade)
This salaried position is full-time during the school year of August - June. West Side offers a summer camp program where teachers may choose to work (full or part-time) during the summer months for additional pay.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the field of early childhood education, special education, or a field related to working with children.
Montessori certified at the preschool/kindergarten level or willing to obtain training outside of the Toledo area. West Side will pay the cost of the training and lodging (approximately $9,000) to obtain Montessori certification after the completion of the first year of teaching.
Salary:
Based on experience and education, a salary range of $30,000- $38,000 is offered. Yearly salary increases are given.
